Patterson Companies Inc. (Nasdaq:PDCO) announced the election of Jody H. Feragen to its board of directors. She is currently executive vice president and chief financial officer of Hormel Foods Corp. (NYSE:HRL - News), a multinational marketer and manufacturer of brand name food and meat products. She has served on Hormel's board of directors since 2007 and held a number of other senior management positions at Hormel prior to being named to her current position. Ms. Feragen replaces Ronald E. Ezerksi, who retired from the Patterson board. She will serve on the audit and governance committees.

Patterson Companies, Inc. is a value-added distributor serving the dental, companion-pet veterinarian and rehabilitation supply markets.
